I have attended Southeastern Illinois College and Murray State University. My passions are raising cattle and Australian Shepherds. We have around 50 head of cattle. Our herd consists of registered Angus, Hereford, and Simmental Cattle. We also have a herd of Australian Shepherds. When I am not at work, I am found in the cow barn or pasture with my cows and dogs. I grew up Raising Game birds, cattle, and swine. Bringing over 20 years' experience in animal Husbandry. I plan on completing the Purdue University Vet Tech program and furthering my education in Veterinary Medicine. Matt is also one of the 4-H leaders for the Pioneers 4-H club in saline County. He serves on saline county 4-H livestock committee and Management committee. I love helping teach our youth about livestock and agriculture and hope I am able to do so for years to come.

Dr. Kristine Kozak is originally from Homer Glen, IL, a southwest suburb of Chicago. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in May of 2018.  She enjoys working with all animals: dogs, cats, cattle, goats, horses, sheep, and pigs. Especially when she gets to visit them on farm calls. When not working, Dr. Kozak relaxes by gardening and going to the movies with her husband, Peter.  She also likes to take long walks with her rough-coated collies named Dex and Sunshine. 

Amber is one of our nurses and site manager at our Thompsonville location. She has been with our team for a little over 5 years. Amber joined our team the summer of 2016 after graduating from Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal science with a specific emphasis in Equine science.Amber grew up in the small village of Galatia on her family’s farm. Growing up she enjoyed helping out on the family farm, playing sports, camping, spending time with her 4-legged friends and family, trail riding and entering barrel races with her best pal Bailey.Now Amber spends her spare time raising her two children, Tinsley and Stetson, along side her best friend and husband, Doug. As a family they like to spend time teaching their kids the country way of life, they enjoy camping, boating, bailing hay, and horseback riding together.

She has been a team member at TVC since December of 2020. She wants to continue her education and work her way up to becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician. In her free time she likes spending time with family and her 3 dogs. She's the oldest of 6 siblings and is into the hobby of fish keeping and working out. She also enjoys hiking on a nice day and watching movies on a rainy one.

Carrie is one of our nurses at our Thompsonville location. She has been with our team for over 5 years. Carrie will be graduating from SIU in May with a bachelor's in animal science. In her free time, Carrie is busy taking care of her two dogs Beau and Lucy. They can usually be found swimming or exploring their property with her husband, Peyton. Lucy frequently participates in hunt tests or dock diving competitions.
